Your privacy

Life-Ready Society is a free learning website for young people aged 15 to 19. We collect as little as we can.

Without an account

Your completed lessons, quiz scores, practice ticks, streak and badges are saved only in this browser on this device. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

With an account

If you create an account we store your first name, your email address, a securely scrambled (hashed) version of your password if you use one, and your learning progress (the same items listed above). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and a Google account identifier; we do not see your Google password.

We use one cookie to keep you signed in. It is needed for the site to work and is not used for advertising or tracking.

Who can create an account

You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, please check with a parent or guardian before creating an account.

Visits and reports

We count page views by page address and date, without names, email addresses or cookies, to see which lessons are useful. If you use “Report a mistake”, we store your message and, only if you give it, your email address so we can reply.

What we never do

We do not sell your information, show you personalised advertising, or share your details with other organisations, except the service providers that run the site (Cloudflare for hosting and data storage, Google if you choose Google sign-in, and an email service for password resets).

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from My progress. This permanently removes your account and saved progress.

Fonts and links

Fonts load from Google Fonts. Source links in each lesson open other websites, which have their own privacy policies.
